Signs that the construction industry is really picking up can be seen across the Midlands and all over the country – just count the cranes.
According to the latest Deloitte Crane Survey, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Belfast have all seen record levels of construction over the past year aided by the rise in popularity of city living and excellent transport links.
You only need to drive through the likes of Manchester or Birmingham to see that they are super-hubs of activity with numerous cranes scattered across the skyline.
We are seeing an increase in confidence from developers across the regions, delivering both growth and investment which can only add to the economic benefits of the building works. The rise in construction is not limited either, as it appears to be across a number of sectors including offices, shops, hotels, flats and student accommodation.
At Morris Property, we have recently completed developments in Telford and Shropshire which were purpose built due to the demand for town centre offices and trade units. We have built bespoke units for our clients with requirements ranging from office space to substantial storage space and even manufacturing.
An example of the demand in Shropshire is our Vanguard Park site, one of the Midland’s most sought after trade parks which continues to build on its success with occupiers hailing from both local and national businesses. Our latest build on this development, Plot 28, will be completed in March and can be viewed here.
