Shrewsbury’s first 24 hour gym is proving a big draw for people with busy lifestyles who want to make time to improve their health and fitness.
Anytime Fitness has opened the state of the art facility at Cirrus House in Lower Claremont Street after leasing a unique recognisable landmark building from owner and developer Morris Properties. Its aim is to offer quality exercise equipment, personal trainers and advice in a friendly atmosphere with secure access around the clock.
The independently operated gym has already attracted people from all walks of life, including a team of 12 from Morris Properties’ nearby head office at Welsh Bridge.
A Director of the gym said: “I was so impressed by the professionalism and help from Morris Properties – in particular Elizabeth Lowe, the Head of Estates has been a god send”.
The gym has been designed to be light and airy with picture windows giving members a view of the town while they workout. There are individual private bathrooms and showers and it can be accessed at any time of day.
Liz Lowe, Head of Estates at Morris Properties, said: “Cirrus House is a contemporary building within the heart of Morris’s riverside leisure area which is close to the town centre. Although previously used by Shrewsbury Sixth Form College as their language department it was an ideal location for Anytime Fitness and we refurbished it with the gym’s needs in mind.
“We like to work closely with our prospective tenants to get a greater understanding of what our tenants need in terms of property requirements and we believe in developing lasting relationships with them”.
“We were so impressed by Anytime Fitness that we signed up as members so we can take steps to lead healthier, fitter lives. It is also motivating having colleagues with similar goals so we can support one another.”
