We welcomed Year 10 students Toby Griffiths and Dougie Evans, from Belvidere Secondary School, for a week’s work experience with the teams at Bicton Business Park. Throughout the week, the students spent time with our colleagues learning about their roles and experience.
Toby spent time in the Joinery workshop, learning how to cut and sand window joints for clients. He said that he especially enjoyed using hand tools such as a tenon saw, and a coping saw and watching our Joiners use the router equipment, and will use this experience in his future studies.
Dougie spent the week with different members of our Construction team, gaining a 360 view of the business. His favourite part of the week was visiting one of our live sites with one of our Site Managers. He was pleased with the experience that he gained, and thought it gave him a good insight into the construction industry.
