In a special assembly focused on climate change and personal resilience, Alex, affectionately dubbed ‘Morris the Polar Bear,’ shared his ambitious plan to conquer the 26.2-mile race in support of Mind, the leading mental health charity.

Dressed in his full polar bear costume, a nod to the iconic Christmas rooftop residents of Morris & Company’s Shrewsbury building, Alex engaged the children with stories of his training regime and the vital importance of open conversations about mental health. He highlighted Mind’s crucial work in providing information and support to those facing mental health challenges.

The assembly reflected with the school’s core values of ‘stickability,’ and ‘growthability’, with Alex demonstrating how his marathon journey embodies these principles. He inspired the young audience to pursue their own aspirations, emphasising that perseverance and dedication can transform even the most ambitious dreams into reality.

“It was wonderful to connect with the students at Radbrook Primary School,” said Alex Morris. “Their enthusiasm and curiosity were truly inspiring. I hope my challenge encourages them to embrace resilience and understand the importance of looking after their wellbeing. And of course, a little bit of fun in a polar bear suit never hurts!”

With just five weeks remaining until the London Marathon 2025, Alex is entering the final phase of his training. The community is invited to support his incredible effort and contribute to Mind’s vital work by donating via JustGiving.
