Morris Property welcomes new Apprentice Site Manager

Morris Property has welcomed Shay Austin as a new Apprentice Site Manager. Shay commenced his role in September 2024, joining the team working on-site at Concord College to create new sporting facilities and a new boarding residence. He will be working closely with Senior Site Manager Lee Evason and Site Manager Chris Price to gain valuable on-the-job experience.

Shay is undertaking a Level 4 ‘Construction Site Supervisor’ course at Shrewsbury Colleges Group; a comprehensive program that will equip him with the essential knowledge and skills required to excel in a career in Construction.

“I am thoroughly enjoying applying the theoretical knowledge I am learning in college to real-life situations on site,” said Shay. “The team here at Morris Property are incredibly supportive and I am learning so much from their expertise.”

Apprenticeship opportunities at Morris Property are highly competitive and sought after. “We are committed to nurturing young talent within the construction industry,” commented Steve Flavell, Construction Manager at Morris Property. “We look forward to watching Shay develop his skills and knowledge over the next two years and hope to see him contribute to the success of future projects.”
