The British Heart Foundation has opened a new base at our Arrow Point Retail Park in Shrewsbury to help it raise funds for vital research.
The charity chose the popular out-of-town Brixton Way site to open a shop to reach more customers and supporters. It has taken a 12,421 sq ft retail unit on a ten-year lease to sell good quality furniture, electricals and homeware accessories donated to raise money for the charity’s important work. The store opened to the public on Tuesday 29 January 2019.
Chris Besant, Estates Manager at the British Heart Foundation (BHF), said: “We are absolutely delighted to open up a new BHF home store in this fantastic retail space. Last year, our shops raised around £30 million for life-saving research and we hope this new store will provide a great opportunity for us to continue to raise more vital funds.”
The charity funds research into heart and circulatory diseases to find new treatments that could one day help beat heartbreak for families in Shrewsbury.
The letting was arranged by Harris Lamb, sole agent for Arrow Point, with Lambert Smith Hampton acting on behalf of the British Heart Foundation.
The retail park located two miles from Shrewsbury town centre, is home to Tile Choice, Poundstretcher and Charlies Stores Ltd with a further unit now under offer and due to complete at the end of February.
Two units, ranging from 4,564 ft² to 9,128 ft² are currently available to let at Arrow Point and all have planning consent for bulky goods retail. They are ideal for DIY stores, kitchen and bathroom showrooms or home and pets specialist stores.
