Environment
With our Environmental Policy we strive for continued improvement and our team are passionate about building responsibly.
We developed an Environmental Management System to ensure we abide by all relevant legislation, lessen the environmental impact of our works and promote awareness within the company, our employees and supply chain.
Taking positive action
We have joined Shropshire Climate Action Partnership to help coordinate a collaborative Shropshire wide community response to the climate and ecological crises, and to oversee the creation of a Zero Carbon Shropshire plan (ZCSP) by 2030.
Recycling for good
We use the services of EvaStore who not only securely store and destroy documentation they also recycle much of the paperwork that we generate. From April 22 – 23 we recycled 21.7 tons of paper across our business which equates to: 58,141kg wood saved, 6,151,788 litres of water saved; 126,690 KwH energy saved and 3377kg CO2 reduced
Rehoming surplus materials
From sending surplus bricks and blocks to help college apprentices build and deconstruct walls, to donating off-cuts of wood to Men in Sheds, we work hard to ensure materials from our sites are reused or rehomed wherever possible.
Keeping our red cabins green
On site, our accommodation and cabins are complete with PIR LED lights, waterless urinals, dual flush WC cisterns, UPVC double glazed windows and heater timers to reduce energy consumption.
Proud considerate constructors
We register many of our projects with Considerate Constructors and target as a minimum ‘Performance Beyond Compliance’.
Sustainable suppliers
Our Procurement processes adopt a sustainable procurement policy which set out key obligations for supply chain appointments this enables us to appoint designers/architects/ suppliers who provide us with the required materials and components in the best possible sustainable means possible.
