This month, we have raised money for Bowel Research UK as part of Morris Property’s commitment to fundraising for charities that are important to colleagues. Inspired by personal connections to the charity, the team made football fundraiser cards to raise awareness of the organisation committed to preventing bowel cancer.
The football cards were available across Morris Property construction sites, as well as at the Bicton and Welsh Bridge offices in Shrewsbury. For a small donation, on-site teams, suppliers, and visitors could choose a football team to complete the card. Once the card was complete, a football team was randomly drawn and the winners received a small cash prize, with the remaining proceeds donated to Bowel Research UK.
Tom Potts and Andy Watson, both members of the Morris Property team with a personal connection to the charity, were instrumental in organising the fundraising event. Their dedication and enthusiasm helped to raise awareness and generate support for this important cause.
“This charity holds a special place in our hearts, and we believe it’s important to give back something back and make a difference,” said Tom Potts.
Andy Watson added, “The football card fundraiser was a great way to involve our team and the local community in our efforts to support Bowel Research UK. We are grateful for the generosity of everyone who participated.”
Bowel Research UK is a leading charity dedicated to saving lives through early diagnosis, prevention, and improved treatment. The funds raised by Morris Property will contribute to their vital work in raising awareness, funding research, and providing support to those affected by bowel cancer.
