Brick donation to Shrewsbury Colleges Group

Shrewsbury Colleges Group (SCG) has received a generous donation of building materials from Morris Property, to support students enrolled on its bricklaying courses.

The donation consists of 7 pallets of bricks, roughly translating to 3,500 individual bricks. This variety pack of bricks provides SCG students with the opportunity to work with various materials and sizes commonly used in the construction industry, honing their bricklaying techniques for future success.

SCG’s bricklaying programme boasts a proven track record. Previous students have consistently impressed at SkillBuild, the UK’s largest construction skills competition for trainees and apprentices, even taking home several awards.

“We’re thrilled to donate these surplus bricks to the talented students at SCG,” said Trish Dovaston, Office Manager and member of Morris Property’s CSR team. “We wish them the very best in their studies and hope to see them applying their skills on our sites in a few years!”

This donation exemplifies Morris Property’s commitment to supporting young talent within our community. Learn more about their community initiatives here.
