Description
YMCA North Staffordshire have commissioned us to construct a vibrant two-storey detached annexe to the existing YMCA apartment building. By employing contemporary construction techniques and leveraging existing resources on-site to ensure cost-effectiveness and sustainability, the new facility will provide various spaces, such as an art station, digital technology areas, and tranquil zones. The completed development will be fully inclusive for children and young individuals.
The project involves a steel-framed annexe, with aluminium windows and a combination of render and cladding to the exterior. The Youth Hub is being developed using sustainable energy sources, and will provide much-needed space for youth work activities, as well as offer valuable and accessible space for local organisations to deliver their activities.
We are also building 46 new flats on Grace Crescent for YMCA North Staffordshire on a neighbouring site, which will provide ‘transitional housing’ for young people in the area.
