Description
We have been commissioned to construct an affordable bungalow development for the new Housing Plus Group, following the successful merger of leading housing associations, The Wrekin Housing Group and Housing Plus Group.
As part of works to increase the availability of affordable, high-quality homes in Wem, the development will consist of four new builds – three 2-bedroom bungalows and one 3-bedroom bungalow.
They will be available from early 2026 as long-term affordable rental opportunities for local people.
Committed to responsible construction, we’re adhering to the Considerate Constructors Scheme on site, which will ensure minimal disruption and maximum community benefit.
Morris Property’s parent company, Morris & Company, has made a long-term investment in Wem, leading to a comprehensive development in the area. This includes a Co-op supermarket, a medical practice (which now houses the local police station), a lorry park, and a veterinary clinic. The bungalow development marks the final phase of this vision.
