Project Specifications

The goal was to build a multi-purpose facility for Shenley Christian Fellowship to serve as a hub for religious, and community activities in Milton Keynes. The brief required an accessible, and sustainable building, complete with versatile facilities, including a café, meeting rooms, and prayer room.

The single storey building was constructed with a part steel frame, Kingspan roof and clad with duraclad and render. Kestral curtain walling and window systems were used to create a light and modern build. A large car park was also provided.

Named the Oak Tree Centre, the facility included a catering kitchen and 50-seater café, a main hall with a seating capacity for large gatherings, prayer rooms and flexible office space.

The Shenley Christian Fellowship’s Community Centre officially opened in 2016. The project was delivered on time and within budget, showcasing Morris Property’s commitment to excellence. Today, the centre remains a popular multi-purpose space for youth work and wider community use.
