We were commissioned to create an Alpine style lodge on a rural Shropshire estate which required us to think a little differently.
The timber framed building used hand crafted barge boards in western red cedar for its longevity and aesthetic appeal. Internally, the lodge panelling and doors were manufactured in Quebec yellow pine. This timber was chosen after extensive research by our team and was decided upon due to its renowned stability and how it would create the unique look and feel of the building – much like an alpine chalet.
A specialist feature of the property was a bespoke balcony at the back of the lodge with detailed balustrading featuring laser cut animal and bird silhouettes.
