Evans Halshaw Car Sales and Aftersales Centre, Shrewsbury

This new, modern sales centre was purpose-built for automotive giant Evans Halshaw, and added another flagship facility to the Group’s UK stock of over 130 dealerships.

The building was a steel frame construction with full-height glass frontages and cladding finished in corporate colours. Internally on the ground floor, the building incorporated a large entrance and enquiry area, offices, a meeting room, toilets and children’s play area. As well as accommodating hundreds of cars on site, customers were given access to 20,000 more in the virtual store, enabling them to browse the retailer’s entire stock from any of their dealerships.

Externally, we created a large car park to house several hundred cars, a concrete valeting area and accommodation for aftercare, including MOT and valeting facilities.

New aftersales workshop

We later completed a 800m² facility to support the Car Store which was designed to prepare vehicles for the store. The bespoke design included a three-car valeting bay, MOT bays, ramps and two spray booths as well as offices, reception waiting area, canteen and toilet facilities.

Externally we created a large vehicle storage compound as well as customer and staff parking. We cladded the exterior of the steel frame building and enclosed the workshop site with a 2.4m high security fence.
